2015 Vintage Scores

2015 Estate Reserve Pinot Noir

92 pts – Jeb Dunnuck
“The 2015 Pinot Noir Estate Reserve is deeper ruby-colored and offers a more masculine, smoky, earthy profile. Currants, smoked herbs, damp earth, and meaty notes all flow to a concentrated, medium-bodied Pinot Noir that has good acidity, integrated tannin, and a clean, lengthy finish. Where the straight Russian River Valley cuvée is ready to go, this will benefit from a year or three of bottle age.”

91 pts – Wine Spectator
“Exhibits a rich core of plum and blackberry that's well-focused, intense and layered, ending with firm, ripe tannins and ample oak. Drink now through 2023. 92 cases made.”

2015 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

93 pts – Wine Spectator
“Broad and expressive, this makes a statement about power and depth, with a deep core of mocha, dark berry, savory underbrush and sage flavors. Maintains focus, working through firm, ripe tannins. Should gain. Drink now through 2023. 193 cases made.”

92 pts – James Suckling
“Very ripe style with attractive cream and meat aromas and flavors to the dried-strawberry and cherry character. Full body and round, creamy tannins that give a caressing mouth feel to this wine. Drink now.”

91 pts – Jeb Dunnuck
“The 2015 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley saw a tiny amount of whole cluster and 14 months in 50% new French oak. Its slightly deeper ruby color is followed by a brooding, smoky bouquet of red currants, mulberries, spice, and sous bois. It's medium-bodied, beautifully textured, and has a rounded, charming character on the palate as well as sweet tannins. Drink it over the coming 5–7 years.”

2015 Walker Station Chardonnay

91 pts – Wine Spectator
“Starts out rich and assertive, and maintains that profile, with ripe apple, pear, melon, spice and light oak notes. Loses a little velocity on the finish. Drink now through 2022. 98 cases made.”

90 pts – Jeb Dunnuck
“White flowers, honeyed citrus, and lemon curd notes all emerge from the 2015 Chardonnay Walker Station, which is medium-bodied, fresh, and lively. It comes up short on depth and overall richness yet is beautifully balanced, clean, and classic. Drink it over the coming 2–4 years.”

2015 Walker Station Pinot Noir

91 pts – Jeb Dunnuck
“The 2015 Pinot Noir Walker Station was completely destemmed and spent 14 months in barrel, 60% being new. Cassis, pine forest, sappy herbs, and a touch of minerality define the bouquet, and it's sappy, tight, and juicy on the palate, with a big core of sweet fruit. I love its balance and it's one of the more fruit-centric wines in the lineup. Drink it over the coming 5–7 years.”
