2022 Estate Reserve Pinot Noir
95 pts – Owen Bargreen
“2022 Kanzler ‘Estate Reserve’ Pinot Noir – Very perfumed and concentrated in the glass, the 2022 Kanzler ‘Estate Reserve’ Pinot Noir is a gorgeous effort from this hot vintage in Sonoma County. Mountain blackberry, cran-cola, black cherry compote and shades of bergamot combine with loamy soil accents on the palate. Voluptuous and dense on the mouth, this is drinking marvelously in its heady youth. Speaking to the warmth of the vintage, this might not be the longest-lived Pinot Noir but it is exceedingly delicious wine to consume now and over the next eight to ten years. Drink 2024–2034.”

It carries a good deal of ripeness and depth on the palate, with a coating mouthfeel and sweet tannins.
