All four blocks of Pinot Noir at Mes Filles were included in the final 2023 blend, allowing us to craft a nuanced expression of this exceptional site. The cooler weather allowed us to harvest each block at its optimal ripeness, beginning on October 4th and concluding on October 18th. The wine opens with bright, high-toned red fruit aromas, complemented by subtle tertiary notes of Douglas Fir and a briny, coastal character. On the palate, red fig and Santa Rosa plum take center stage, with an earthy, umami depth. Aromatically explosive, this wine is an absolute joy to drink in its youth.
2023 WALKER STATION CHARDONNAY

A vibrant expression of fresh-ness and complexity. Harvested nearly four weeks later than in 2022, the cool weather and extended hang time allowed for the development of intricate flavors without excessive sugar accumulation or acid precipitation. On the nose, delicate notes of orchid flowers, Fuyu persimmon, orange blossom, and lemon verbena emerge, while the palate reveals layers of white peach, Asian pear, and honeysuckle. The wine’s refreshing acidity lingers, ensuring it will age gracefully for years to come.
2023 ONE FIFTEEN PINOT NOIR

This clone is planted across all the vineyards from which we farm and source fruit, with varying vine age, soil types, climates, and rootstocks contributing to the wine’s unique character. For the 2023 vintage, this wine was meticulously barrel-selected from Kanzler Estate, Mes Filles, and O'Conner vineyards. It displays a bright, deep ruby hue, with aromas of rose petal, Rainier cherry, fruit galette, and bay leaf harmonizing in the glass. On the palate, savory citrus flavors emerge, with blood orange, hibiscus, and pink peppercorn leading to a fresh and invigorating finish.
2023 RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOT NOIR

The 2023 appellation blend showcases the powerful restraint of the vintage. These wines share an intriguing commonality of lift and freshness, characteristic of a year marked by low sugars and high acidity. While still a bit reserved in its youth, we anticipate this wine will evolve gracefully over the next 5+ years. The nose opens with aromas of orange peel, pomegranate, gravelly earth, and hibiscus, followed by a structured mouthfeel of tart red fruits. The natural acidity of the vintage delivers a tactile finish with excellent length and pure fruit expression.
2024 ROSE OF PINOT NOIR
5 neutral oak barrels produced
Dry, refreshing, and mineral-driven, the 2024 Kanzler Rosé captures everything we seek in Rosé. Fermented in neutral French oak, it gains depth and texture while preserving its vibrant freshness. A delicate cherry blossom hue introduces aromas of jasmine, chamomile, and white peach, followed by bright notes of winter citrus and crisp Granny Smith apple. A lively acidity energizes the palate, creating a crisp and invigorating finish.
