SPRING RELEASE FEBRUARY 2025

2023 MES FILLES VINEYARD DESIGNATE PINOT NOIR

2023 WALKER STATION VINEYARD DESIGNATE CHARDONNAY

2023 ONE FIFTEEN CLONAL DESIGNATE PINOT NOIR

2022 ESTATE RESERVE PINOT NOIR

 20 barrels produced

We utilize all three pinot clones on the Estate vineyard, with clone 667 making up 60% of the final blend. Red Plum, goji berry, white rose, and dried herbs jump out of the glass upon first approach. Much like previous renditions of the Estate reserve, a core of vivid berry and black tea notes are found throughout, followed by a salty, umami-like surge of flavor on the finish.

2022 WALKER STATION PINOT NOIR

 8 barrels produced

Walker Station Pinot Noir is always our first pick of the year. We decided to segment our picking decision into two parts, one at the onset of the late summer heat wave and the other at the end. The result created a harmonious dichotomy between freshness and richness. Cherry cola, pomegranate, black truffle are expressed in abundance, followed by blood orange, rich berry compote and white peach. Vibrant tension and powerful elegance round out the structured finish. The Calera clone makes up 74% of this blend, with the balance being clone 115.

2022 MES FILLES PINOT NOIR

 9 barrels produced

This year's Mes Filles Pinot Noir is a blend of 70% 667 Clone and 30% Pommard clone from three different blocks on our Mes Filles site. The vineyard encircles the crown of a coastal hill and thus each vineyard block varies widely in character based on its’ orientation around the hill. By precisely farming each block and blending the resulting wines into a single bottling, the sum of our Mes Filles wine is greater than the whole of it’s parts. The wine is always a joy to craft with robust aromatics and velvety texture

2022 ONE FIFTEEN PINOT NOIR

5 barrels produced

Our clonal designation bottling gives us the chance to showcase the many nuances of the individual clone. Hibiscus, fig leaf, and white pepper make this wine elegant and complex. Structured tannins are followed by energizing acidity. The 2022 One Fifteen is sourced exclusively from the Kanzler Estate Vineyard

2022 RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY PINOT NOIR

46 barrels produced

Composed of a majority (57%) Estate fruit, and a sizable portion (18%) Mes Filles vineyard, the 2022 Russian River valley Pinot Noir has a coastal lean to it. Sebastopol Hills, our neighborhood in Russian River Valley, gets the most coastal marine influence in the AVA and the wine shows the hallmarks of this terroir: dark color, structured mouthfeel, and vivid berry fruit backed by an array of warm spices. This wine will pair well with rich foods and will age in the cellar gracefully for 10+ years

2022 WALKER STATION CHARDONNAY

4 puncheon barrels produced

Since 2015, we've had the privilege to work with Harry and Karen Walker on farming their exceptional vineyard. We receive just under 1 acre of Chardonnay at Walker Station. Where we lack in quantity, we provide in quality. Aromatically, we find orange blossom, lemon oil, and hints of green apple skins. The palate provides refreshing acidity followed by lime zest, kumquat, and almond notes. Texturally, it holds a rich, slate rock characteristic we often find in white burgundy, specifically Puligny Montrachet.

2023 ROSE OF PINOT NOIR

4 neutral oak barrels produced

With its short aging time in neutral oak, yeast inoculation and filtering, our Rosé of Pinot Noir is the most consistent wine we make year after year. The 2023 is right in line with its peers from previous vintages and displays the same freshness, drinkability and balance we always strive for. Kanzler Rosé is acid-driven, clean and vibrant, with a dry and snappy finish. This wine is ready for fun in the sun.
