Consumer Sales Manager
Breauna grew up 25 minutes south of Sebastopol in Petaluma, home of the Butter and Eggs day parade. She left the Bay area to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder where she met Alex Kanzler. Little did she know at 18 years old, that this was the beginning of a love story. Breauna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2011 with the intention of becoming a behavioral therapist. When she received a job offer from a reputable Denver staffing agency right after graduation, she decided to explore this exciting opportunity. The Account Manager role eventually led her to San Diego for the opening of their new sales office.
When Silicon Valley’s high tech industry brought Breauna back to the bay area to work for Google in 2013, Alex Kanzler was the first person she called. They were inseparable from that moment, and they married in January of 2016.
Breauna took a quick interest in the wine industry. She thought of it as more of a hobby than a potential career path. However, as she tasted more wine, worked events for the Kanzler family and walked the vineyards with her new husband, she grew to love the land, the grapes and wine.
“Alex taught me the most important thing about wine; There are the ones you like and the ones you don’t, that’s all that matters.”
She assisted with frost protection in the vineyard, web and print design projects, and bottling during her free time away from her job as a Technical Recruiter for Apple, Inc. As time went on it was clear to Breauna that the wine industry was a perfect fit for her. The timing was also perfect. Her new family was in need of another set of hands and she was ready for a new career path. “What could be better than investing my time in our family? My husband is an amazing winemaker and I’m so proud to be an official part of both the family and the company.” “I couldn’t be happier,” said company founder Lynda Kanzler. “She’s a lovely, smart and talented girl. She loves my son. She loves the wine industry. She’s been a real asset since she came on-board. What more could a mother-in-law ask.” Breauna is leading the company’s direct to consumer marketing and sales efforts as Consumer Sales Manager.
Today, Breauna and Alex live on the Estate Vineyard in Sebastopol Hills with their two puppies, Huck and Finn who patrol the vineyard and keep it free from 4-legged pests like deer and raccoons. “I love living amongst the vines”, said Bre. “Alex and I are lucky to call this special place home. It bring the phrase ‘fruits of our labor’ to a whole new meaning. I’m so excited for what the future has in store for us.”
