Gabe Markowitz
General Manager

Gabe oversees all operations at Kanzler Vineyards, including sales, marketing, finance, and team management. He joined Kanzler in 2023, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for the business side of wine.

Gabe earned his degree in Marketing from Washington State University, where he also had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. It was during this time that he discovered his love for the wine industry—not just for winemaking, but for the business that drives it. This newfound passion led him to pursue hands-on experience in 2017, working his first harvest and developing a deeper appreciation for the complexities of wine production.

After his harvest experience, Gabe set out to round out his knowledge by working in various roles across the industry, including sales, marketing, finance, and wholesale. These experiences gave him a comprehensive understanding of the wine business and sharpened his ability to strategically grow and manage a brand.

Currently in his third year of law school, Gabe is gaining valuable insights into the legal complexities surrounding the wine business. His dual focus on wine and law uniquely positions him to navigate regulatory challenges effectively. When he’s not immersed in the world of wine and law, Gabe enjoys hitting the basketball court and discovering the many trails Sonoma County has to offer.
