*2024 Walker Station Chardonnay

2021 Walker Station Vineyard Chardonnay

Rich fig, pear, and wet clay on the nose give way to a fleshy yet tense palate of lime zest, brine, and apricot — bottled unfiltered for maximum character.

"The really good 2021 Kanzler ‘Walker Station’ Chardonnay comes from this wam vintage in Sonoma County and this site in the Green Valley that is a warmer site set on Goldridge soils. The Chardonnay was stored in 58% new large format oak barrels before bottling. The wine shows beautiful nerve with a silky mouthfeel. Layers of buttercream and lime zest parade with stony minerals on the palate. This is really delightful and well-balanced Chardonnay that is drinking beautifully right now. Drink 2024-2032- 94"

Introducing

Walker Station

Vineyard owner Harry Walker has grown wine grapes in Napa Valley, Knights Valley, Dry Creek Valley and Lodi since 1968. In 2001 he found an ideal site on an east-facing slope in a cool valley southwest of Forestville in Sonoma County. He planted 3.2 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Now retired, Harry approached us about leasing his vineyard and we leapt at the opportunity to farm this little gem renowned for exquisite fruit. We have exclusive access to the grapes, and we vineyard designate both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
