Morgan Morris is the Director of Operations at Kanzler Vineyards, where she oversees the day-to-day operations that support the winery’s hospitality, fulfillment, marketing, and customer experience. As part of the Kanzler family, Morgan works closely across all areas of the business, helping lead everything from wine releases and logistics to events, estate hospitality, and operational strategy. She also plays an active role in shaping the evolving guest experience at the Estate Tasting Room and supporting the continued growth of the next generation of Kanzler Vineyards.
Originally from a small town in North Carolina, Morgan grew up competing in gymnastics and following her football coach dad around practices and games. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she double majored in Communications and American Studies. During college, she worked as a media intern for an NFL organization while also taking on various roles within Charlotte’s growing food and beverage scene, from restaurant launches to social media marketing and event planning.
After graduation, Morgan moved to California to pursue a career in wine. She began with a harvest internship at Paul Hobbs Winery before expanding into hospitality and wine education through a tasting room role at Three Sticks Wines. She later traveled to Oregon’s Willamette Valley to work harvest at Antica Terra, deepening her experience with Burgundian varietals and small-lot winemaking.
Following harvest, Morgan returned to Sonoma County to officially join the family business full time. She has since helped support the growth and evolution of Kanzler Vineyards through a combination of operational leadership, hospitality, and a passion for creating meaningful experiences around wine.
