Umino Vineyard

Planted and farmed personally by owner Dave Umino, Umino Vineyard sits halfway between Gensler Vineyard and Kanzler Estate. Dave is a third generation farmer who grew up in California’s Central Valley growing vegetables and fruits, including Thompson Seedless grapes. He took a 30-year hiatus from farming to pursue a career as a forensic metallurgist before selecting Sonoma County as a place to reestablish his farming roots. Dave planted his 11 acres of Pinot Noir in 1996, the same year we planted Kanzler Estate. Dave is a fantastic farmer and his grapes showcase the best of what the Sebastopol Hills region has to offer.
