Lolita Ranch

Lolita Ranch is owned and farmed by fourth generation Sonoma County farmer, Lee Martinelli Jr. The very steep, well-drained and east facing hillside is planted with four different varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel. The north-northeast orientation gently exposes the fruit to morning sun and protects it from harsher afternoon exposure. This fortunate sun/soil combination naturally produces low yields of high quality fruit.

We purchase two separate blocks of Chardonnay from Lolita with distinct flavor profiles. The Robert Young clone 17 brings exotic fruit and spice notes to the wine, while Dijon clone 76 contributes body, texture and acid.
